I am a wedding photographer and recently photographed a whole days event at Fen farm.
I cannot speak highly enough of both the venue, its beautiful surroundings and of John and his excellent staff.
The venue itself is set away from the crowds in quiet rural surroundings. It is easy to find, has lots of car parking, clean modern facilities and is without a doubt one of the top three venues I have worked at.
Much thought that has gone into the setting out of the site and no detail has been overlooked to ensure that the happy couple families and guests are well looked after.
This venue is unique in that one whole wall of the main area can be opened out to expose beautiful countryside and give a real feeling of space and tranquility.
Catering was superb, the staff were friendly polite and efficient giving the feeling that nothing was to much trouble for them and John the owner was never far away ensuring that all ran smoothly. He gave the impression that he really cared about what was going on and his personal touch didn’t go unnoticed by the bridal party and guests alike.
I could go on.
A superb venue and very highly recommended for the perfect wedding day.

We’ve just had a wonderful short break at Fen Farm. From start to finish it was wonderful, booking was so simple mostly done via Facebook with John. On arrival we were greeted by John and shown to fen chalet whilst checking we were happy we were given space to settle in. The annex was lovely and clean with everything you needed for a self catering holiday, my one wish would have been for a bath mat so we didn\’t have to use the hand towels. Coffee and tea were provided along with some ice in the freezer which I thought was a great touch! My husband, 6 year old son and myself then went for a walk around to see the animals, every person we met on the farm were friendly, chatty and helpful, Luke especially is a really good lad! A young girl who we assume lives on the farm invited us to feed the pigs which my son thought was brilliant. Constant use of the bouncy castle provided endless entertainment for Cole and the hot tub was amazing! On our first evening John even dropped off a bottle of fizz which was a very welcome surprise. There was always someone around if you needed anything and the views are beautiful. We didn\’t want to leave after three lovely nights and I\’m already thinking about our next visit. I would recommend Fen Farm to anyone and can\’t wait to visit again. What more can I say apart from a huge thank you to John. It was my Stag do at LHH and we booked a new place (I think we were the 1st in) and we had 9-10 others stopping over. The facilities were spot on, the hot tubs (well…….. I never thought 8 guys in 2 hot tubs would be ok, how wrong was I? *weather was really good though*)

John was friendly, welcoming, gave us good advise, provided with everything we needed, wasn’t pushy in any way. Arrival times and departure times were on a ‘as you like’ basis.

Payment was flexible, non of this ‘must pay right now’ attitude that hotels have for example. John treated us in a way we would have wanted to be treated.

Even when we got home from a very good weekend, John still called us up to remind us that swimming shorts and a charging cable had been left behind. He posted them all back free of charge. That alone says a lot.

The Bonfire, again a tipping point to the whole experience. I’ve now got more people heading to LHH for there stag accommodation. 9-10 of us stayed, not 1 of us had a bad thing to say. 10/10

We stayed in Fen Annex on a work(MSFS Newark)/break for a week. Great location not far from things yet away from it all. John is very friendly and happy to help. The Annex is well equipped with all that’s needed and the hot tub is great especially after being on your feet all day in the cold. I think if your there for a week it does miss a few homely touches, we would still recommend it though.

What a wonderful experience we have had at Fen Farm!!! It was perfect for our son who is 3 years old. He was able to interact with the animals and it was very exciting for him considering that we don’t get close and personal with animals in Dubai due to the humid weather.
John was ever so lovely and very helpful man, he made us feel like just at home. It was a pity that we didnt had the chance to try the hub tub 🙂 but its a good excuse enough to go back once more.
I strongly recommend Fen Farm for any occasion – keep up the amazing hospitality John!!!

I have just come back from a weekend away in the Orchard Lodge with the girls, we had the best time! The Lodge was clean, incredibly comfy beds, cosy and well decorated. The hot tub and sauna were a perfect addition as well as the beautiful farm animals. John was the best host, nothing was ever too much – and the Safari was great fun (I would definitely recommend going on it!) I have already rebooked to come again at Christmas with the family, and the girls have all said we will make this an annual event and return here every year! Thank you for a perfect weekend! 🙂

This is the second christmas in a row that we have booked and will be returning again. John and the guys are so welcoming and friendly and do all they can to make your stay a wonderful experience. The place is simply lovely and relaxed. Cant ask for a better venue and hospitality

Second visit to this amazing place. Stayed in Fen Stable and it is brilliant, clean, lots of extra touches and a hot tub. The owners are so helpful kind and friendly I wouldn’t think if staying anywhere else if I was in the area.
We loved it so much we have booked our wedding here!
If you haven’t stayed here before you have to ask yourself why not!
Great if you have children as lots of space and animals to keep them entertained.

A wonderfully warm and convenient place to stay in winter. Staff were welcoming and helpful and the Barn and Annexe are very well equipped. Lincoln and area have a lot to offer. Our 9 year old granddaughter from the Isle of Skye was quite overwhelmed by the Cathedral – nowhere to match it in Scotland. Hartsholme Park and the lakes are great for squirrels and birds. Thank you Fen Farm team!

Looking for a quiet break for our family. 2 young boys. Well I was impressed with the accommodation Fen chalet. Everything you need. Boys loved the private hot tub. The tour of the farm was exciting.
Want a quiet weekend away with no distractions this ius the perfect hideaway. And only 20 minutes from Lincoln.

We arrived home from our holiday to find our home completely flooded so needed temporary accommodationm close to our home.I emailed the owner after 10pm and he replied immediately and offered to help. . We stayed in the fen cart shed . It was very clean and had everything we needed . John the owner was absolutly fantastic so friendly very welcoming and went above and beyond to help us in our crisis . I would highly recommend a stay here . Its a great setting for a getaway . Although our circumstances were different for using fen farm I would certainly return with friends and family for a long weekend away. I would highly recommend fen farm to anyone .

Love Fen Farm, go every year with my daughter to visit friends. So close to everything yet ticked away if you require some peace. Love the animals there and you are re able to go around and see them. John is great, very helpful and always there if any problems.

We have stayed in Fen Chalet for the second time. John’s hospitality is amazing. He is very welcoming and warm person. Will always go extra mile to accommodate his guests. Thank you again 😊xx

Stayed in the fen stable over the weekend for the first time and was blown away. A real comfortable, homely place and John was very welcoming. We had everything we needed from kettle to dishwasher! Having a visit and cuddle with the new piglets was the icing on the cake. We will definately return.

We had a lovely weekend at fen farm, its very quite and the room was lovley and clean on arrival.
John who owns this place was lovely and very friendly was there if you needed him.
I do think the shower and bath set may need updating or replacing but apart from the over site we had a great time and cant wait to come back

Last minute booking and stayed in Fen Annex over Easter. John was a great host and made us feel at home immediately by asking our daughter if she wanted to feed the piglets and showed us the animals.
Went for a wander round farm on Saturday evening after a day out and got called over to share the bonfire! Lovely evening with other guests and John, who ordered pizzas and shared them with everyone. As it was our wedding anniversary, John brought a bottle of wine and shared it with us round the bonfire! Then back to the Annex for a relaxing hour in the hot tub!
Not rushed to check out. Will definitely be back in Dec to take in the Xmas markets and then chill in the hot tub!
Great place, would strongly recommend if you want a relaxing break!

Amazing time at Fen Farm. Everything was catered for and the most amazing owner who loves to show you round the farm and lets you feed the animals.

Please do check the venue out for hen parties and other occassions. You really wont be disappointed x.

What a fabulous weekend away! I cannot praise the staff at Fen Farm enough, nothing was too much trouble and John was absolutely brilliant! Despite catering for a big wedding, John still took us on a last minute safari and dropped us to Lincoln in the evening. A fabulous relaxed atmosphere where we were made to feel at home. The lodge was lovely, with everything our party needed. Would definitely recommend. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Stayed in orchard lodge for 2 nights for a girlie 40th birthday weekend. We had an amazing time, and enjoyed daily visits from the pigs. I have to say though that the lodge was nothing like in the pictures advertised. It is tired and run down now and could do with a complete renovation, one of the settees was broken that you almost fell through it, the hot tub had black mold all on the inside of the lid and the showers were so complicated to use that we struggled to get water from them. Instruction manuals would have been useful. The beds were so uncomfortable too, I just feel that for the price I would have expected something much more. John however was a lovely host, sorted out a blown bulb in bathroom and left a bottle of bubbly in the fridge for our celebrations. Despite the lodge not being as advertised in the pictures we still had a great weekend.

Just come back from a wonderful weekend with all my family at Fen Farm. John couldn’t have been more accommodating and friendly. There was something there for everyone and the kids were in their element. Really well thought through Accomodation with everything you could need. We will definitely be back for the next family gathering.

Awesome weekend as always at Fen Farm with golf boys, however Johns new (short cut) road needs some work. I’m not saying it’s long but we went to Lincoln town centre via Longsville Tennessee when we used it 🤔🤷🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️

I have very much enjoyed my time at Lincoln Holiday Homes. Staff are very respectful and considerate. This is our 3rd stay and we have been 100% satisfied each and every time. It is mine and my partners 2nd home.

We stayed for the weekend in February for a hen weekend. We all loved it here, John is a fab host, so friendly and welcoming. Close to Lincoln and John even gave us lifts into town. Will definitely be back.

Had a fantastic stay at Fen Farm while visiting family in the area. From arrival to the moment of leaving the customer service provided by John and the team was top notch. The accommodation is perfectly placed to access Lincoln and the surrounding areas but still let you feel that you’re in the country side. You can borrow a bike from the farm and use one if the many safe cycle routes to explore or simply hop on a bus at the end of the road if you don’t fancy driving. Thank you to the team at Fen Farm for the clean and comfortable accommodation, relaxing surroundings and great hospitality. I would recommend you to anyone looking for accommodation in the area.

Stayed In the barn November for my mum’s birthday it was fantastic nothing was too much trouble he entertained my 3 year old and took us on his jeep. He also let my little boy feed the animals. The accommodation was fantastic and clean

We have stayed at Fen Farm 4 times over the past 3 years and have booked again for 2 weeks this summer.
The cabins are fantastic and always clean.
There is so much to do there kids never get bored and with Lincoln city center only being 5 minutes drive away it really is the perfect location for a short break or a longer holid
